Beginning novelists are often confused about imagination and inspiration, unclear about the specific roles each one plays and unsure of methods the two interrelate.
To understand inspiration, we must understand a little about how our subconscious works. Our entire lives, we are feeding data to our subconscious. Every thing we see is part of that documents. Everything we smell, everything we hear, touch or taste, every thought we have had. It is all filtered into our subconscious mind, which contains a huge ease of data. Our mind then plays with it, twists it and rearranges keep in mind this. It is all the same data, it will looks different once your subconscious has brought hold of it. Your mind then just wants to secure back to us what it has newly created with all that wonderful information.
Unfortunately, inspiration is a lot heralded than imagination with regards to the writing function. Personally, I had rather have fire and require to look for a tinder box, than to have a pile of wood (wet wood in all probability?) and no spark or flame.
Our relationships tend to collapse when we become so intent on conveying our story we have forget to see someone else’s story. Their story is simply important these people as ours is to us. stories are not important to be able to. Whole cultures and civilizations make sense when we come across the fabric of their stories woven over many generations.
